By Serena Payne '26 and Tillie Solomon '27 in Fall 2025
Hey, you! Thanks for picking up this copy of The 1600’s 2025 Fall Edition. We are thrilled to be entering our second year as Editors-in-Chief, and to be carrying on our reboot of the print edition. This summer has given us time to consider our vision for The 1600 for this year and beyond. We are continuing to learn through your responses about the types of articles that are important for our community to read. Inside this edition, you’ll find voices resisting the status quo, questioning ideas, and continuing to participate in democracy through exercising their freedom of speech. We want to extend a thank you to those of you that have picked up a paper from all four editions this past year; every new, curious reader; and anyone that is continuing to support us in our mission to deliver honest journalism to everyone. Enjoy!
